Visual symptoms are a
well recognized symptom of whiplash injuries.
The most common ocular
symptom is blurred vision.
Damage to the cervical
sympathetic chain is recognized as a source of visual
disturbances. This can occur as a result of severe
hyperextension injuries.
Trauma to the brain
tissue might also be responsible for visual symptoms.
Treatment
Most cases of visual
disturbances caused by the previously mentioned heal
without invasive therapy, over time.
Myofascial release,
with particular emphasis on the sub-occipital area, might
relieve ocular symptoms. See a qualified chiropractor,
physical therapist, or massage therapist.
Symptoms which are
severe and which do not show improvement should be
immediately examined by an opthalmologist!
